September 27 - anyone would think that BT has a sense of humour! I don't have a landline here and BT sent me a bill for something I haven't had. After three fruitless days trying to ring them (I did get through to speak to a real person once, but let me tell you that it's sodding annoying to get cut off after 1 hour and 6 minutes on hold...), I did what any sensible person should do. I wrote a letter to the complaints department and sent it by Special Delivery. Watch this space...
September 22 - you don't realise that seagulls are such hulking great brutes until you see them feeding next to pigeons
September 20 - cats are endlessly fascinating. I love the way a cat can look completely relaxed, but you know that it's really in stand-by mode, ready to spring into action
September 19 - it's really cold here today. I've moved furniture/stuff about to get to the radiators; they're on, but I'm still feeling chilly....oh, and everywhere's looking a tad cluttered....
September 17 - the penny dropped about two-thirds of the way through the Seraphim Shawl - there wasn't enough Koigu left to finish it. I'd ploughed through the boring stockinette and the odd-hole-here-and-there bit before I
realised admitted it to myself
September 9 - another present from Liz. Apart from WW2 recipes, it contains several from WW1 - 1917 Trench Cake anyone?
