A quick grumble

I'm sick to death of bloody fireworks and it's not even the fifth of November yet. I'd really like to get an early night - fat chance of any sleep with all the big bangs and flashes. Grrr...

Same here - we had some round here at 1.00 a.m. this morning....how does your cat re-act? Our old dog hated them, it was a mercy in one way when he went very deaf and couldn't hear them any more.

Get thee hence to Boots the Chemist and purchase a package of there delightful FOAM earplugs (the rubbery ones are no good). Works for me when I'm on nights and also for my sister who's husband snores like a freight train!

We've been grumbling for the past two weeks. I thought that they didn't go on sale so early! I don't understand why anyone would want to buy them when you can go along to displays.

The firework season lasts so long nowadays -- they started in early October. I actually heard some at 4 o'clock in the morning in October! I'm afraid all the excitement has gone out of it for me.

Luckily Flossie's not too upset by fireworks; I think that I hate the noise more than she does!
