I wanted to use one of my Japanese stitch books to knit some socks, but would you believe it, the chart key was not illustrated at the back of the book!
Some great photos - I hadn't heard of Project 365, but it looks like a great idea (this from someone who has a blog with three entries total and no photos since I don't know how to post them yet). I had to comment when I saw the stitch book open to a pattern that looked to include "nupps". I just finished a shawl for my sister (Lily of the Valley Stole from Fiddlesticks) that had absolutely acres of the things - it had its moments but was mostly fun.
