October 15 - this is my landing window. It's so high that I can't reach it even from the top of a stepladder - hope I never need to replace that lightbulb!
October 6 - I've been knitting away, but nothing much to show as I don't have room to block anything where I'm living. After much ripping, swearing and head-scratching while working on the Petticoat Shawl from Goddess Knits and Miriam Felton's Seraphim Shawl, I think I've finally cracked knitting-lace-from-a-chart. This is the Pacific Northwest Shawl from Fiber Trends; I'm knitting it in stocking stitch instead of garter stitch (don't really like garter stitch lace in a heavier-than-laceweight yarn and I can't get to my laceweight at the moment). I'm using Rowan 4ply Soft - the blue's more subdued than it looks here; imagine the sea on an overcast day
