December 15 - on the opposite side of Hove Street, I have the best of both worlds. A posh organic deli and restaurant rub shoulders with a great open-all-hours shop

December 14 - please bear with me while I have a terror-of-pattern episode. In an imaginary world, I sleep between plain cream sheets; in real life, I know that colourful bedlinen hides a multitude of cat hairs. I think I may have gone too far this time - pass me some dark glasses and an aspirin...
December 12 - Centurion Road, Brighton. It's a beautiful day and I'm sitting on the pavement in a Lloyd Loom chair waiting for a taxi
December 11 - if I hide under the table, maybe nobody will notice that I'm terrified when the balcony door is open....
Well, the marathon's almost over - 300 and odd photos down, 20 or so still to go. Some days it's been almost impossible to work out which image to choose; on other days, it's been equally hard to find something interesting to photograph. Come the end of the year, I'm going to enjoy looking back over 365 days of my life
December 6 - my birthday orchid is flowering again
December 3 - looking up Beaconsfield Villas. The old flat is being checked out today by the letting agent so I can get my deposit returned
