Mid afternoon brought green sea, grey clouds. Earlier today, the sky was bright blue.
This is too pink; it should really be red. Deep red.
No, the colour's fine. Hmm, I'm not enjoying knitting the pattern.
Half a shawl down the line, the message finally sank in.
The same yarn frogged, overdyed and knitted in a different pattern. Much better!
I'm working my way through my stash of Koigu KPPPM and Colinette Jitterbug; it's mainly oddments with the odd single skein here and there. So far there have been several crochet blankets,
a hat and a pair of almost-finished-just-need-thumbs fingerless mittens
and there's still some yarn left. I'm convinced it's breeding...
In the same photo as the mittens are the start of Keiran Foley's Shetland Ruffles (rav link) in two colours of Malabrigo Sock (Dewberry and Solis) and a shawl for Steph in some of my hand dyed sock yarn.
I've been out and about today - the weather has been far too nice to stay at home.
Walked to Starbucks in Hove to drink coffee and do a little gentle knitting with friends - the sky really was that summery shade of blue!
